Wanted to try something a little different andddd it turned out to be super delicious. How about our veggie packed BURGERS they’re wonderful to make and ready in just 60 minutes.

The classic burger is all time favorite so why don’t you try this?!

This veggie packed burger is a simple twist on the classic potato burger, substituting the aaloo patty for veggie pattie. This super appetizing homemade burger recipe gives you delicious patties, packed with onions and cabbage and spread for extra flavor, that are perfect for topping with cheese, cucumber and tomato, and sandwiching between crispy buns. Like any burger, dress it up or down with your own personal combination of toppings and condiments and its done.

Cooking something different everyday is no more a hassle, as this recipe of spicy veggie burger ends it all. Veggie packed patty and buttered buns is sure to have many mouth watering slurps around!

Serves 6

INGREDIENTS

For spreads,
2 cups mayonnaise
3 table spoon chili sauce/Sriracha
1 cup ketchup
3 tablespoon schezwan

For veggie patty
1 cup onions (finely chopped)
1 cup cabbage (finely chopped)
1/2 cup gram flour
3 tablespoon rice flour (optional)
2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
3 green chilies (finely chopped)
1 teaspoon red chili ppwder
salt, according to taste

6 Fresh buns
6 cheese slices
2 tomatoes (cut into slices)
1 cucumber (cut into slices)
cabbage leaves
1/4th cup Butter

INSTRUCTION

1. In a bowl full of mayonnaise, add 4 tablespoon of of chili sauce and mix well. For next spread, in a bowl, whisk 3 tablespoons of schezwan with 1 cup of tomato ketchup. Keep it aside.

2. Now, we will make the veggie patty.
For this, let’s mix the all the ingredients in a large bowl. Add the ingredients with 1/4th or less cup of water and give it a good mix. Donot over mix or make the batter wattery.

3. In a pan or kadhai, t over medium heat, heat oil. Damp your palms and divide onion mixture into large equal portions shaped into balls. Deep-fry in hot oil till half done.

Press the patties from a flattened katori and deep fry again in hot oil, flipping once, until crisped.
Once done, place it in paper towels. Repeat it for all the other patties.

All our ingredients of burger are ready and now its time to assemble!

ASSEMBLING THE BURGER

1. Heat ½ tablespoons of butter in a large skillet on medium high heat. Divide the buns into two equal part and add on 4 half buns. Allow it to toast until turned golden.

3. Add a slice of cheese followed by slices of cucumber and tomato above and spoon the home made spread on top buns.

PRO TIP –  while applying spread on the top bun, apply a little more at the edges. (as shown in the picture) This will make your burger look more appealing!

Close sandwiches with top buns and your YUMMIEST Burger ever is ready!. Thank me later.
Serve the burger with delicious french fries and this ofc, will make your day.

These burgers make a great change from normal burgers, and this is my new favourite recipe to share! The burgers stay beautifully juicy and make party guests drool over food everytime. I can’t wait for you guys to try these, I’m sure you’ll love them as much as we do!

Additional Notes –

1. You can also adjust the amount of spice in prepared spread and sauces for a more spicer version.

2. It is preferred to use the amount of veggie patty appropiately to avoid watery batter.

3. Use of onions, lettuce will create a variety in burger.

4. You can also add coriander leaves to your veggie patty for a flavour.
